My name is Dr Tumi Raphela, and I am an Aesthetic Dentist in Lydenburg, also known as a Cosmetic Dentist. After obtaining my Bachelor of Dental Science, I worked as a general dentist for about eight years. Later, I decided to return to varsity to study Aesthetic Dentistry at the University of Western Cape for two years. The postgraduate Aesthetic Dentistry program, led by Dr Des Moudley and Dr Sandile Mpungose, changed my perspective on private dental healthcare.
I furthered my education by attending facial aesthetic training with the Implant and Aesthetic Academy in Cape Town. I am passionate about all things aesthetics, especially balancing teeth with facial aesthetics. Recently, I attended training for chairside CEREC veneers in Bensheim, Germany, under Dr Christiaan Moussally.
